The women?s volleyball tournament begins on Monday, August 15 with medal matches taking place on August 20. Team Ontario will square-off against Northwest Territories on August 15 at 3 p.m. local time to open up its Canada Games competition, and will play four more matches against Quebec, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to wrap up pool play. Should Team Ontario advance to the next round, quarterfinal games will begin on Thursday, August 18.
?I am excited to compete in this fantastic event, where athletes from all the provinces compete against one another in hopes of earning the Canada Games Flag,? said Todd. ?I am honored to be able to represent Ontario in this nation wide competition, but cannot wait to come back to MU, and start my second season as a golden eagle!?
Todd, an outside hitter from Oshawa, Ont., will return to Marquette after the games following an impressive freshman campaign. She ranked third on the team in kills per game with 2.93, and was third in points with 328. Todd was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team for her efforts in 2004.
