Second "Breakfast with Terri" Held this Morning
1/17/2006 12:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
The breakfast, with over 50 Milwaukee-area businesswomen in attendance, featured remarks from two members of the Golden Eagles women's basketball team - junior Jasmine McCullough and freshman Marissa Thrower - as well as Mitchell. The topic of Mitchell's short speech was the importance of leadership in daily life and how it is a key component in the recipe for success.
"As the head coach of our program, I have to display and demonstrate the highest leadership skills." remarked Mitchell, in her 10th season as the Golden Eagles' head coach. ""Leadership comes in all shapes and forms and my daily approach is 'leadership by example.' I try to set an example everyday, so that we can achieve our goals in the best way possible. In this field, we recruit high school girls and, by the time they leave Marquette, I hope that they have made the transformation into college-educated women who are ready to make an impact on the world."
This was the second of three morning breakfasts with Mitchell. The next and final installment will be held on Tuesday, March 14 from 7:30 ? 8:30 a.m. For more information, please contact Jamie Hays, Coordinator of Women's Basketball Marketing & Operations at (414) 288-6018 or via email at
