Quaye Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Senior Christina Quaye was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll announced Monday by conference officials. This is Quaye's first honor of the season by the conference.
Quaye helped Marquette to go 4-0 last week including three wins in as many days en route to the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam title. She contributed double-digit scoring performances in wins over Wis.-Green Bay (67-63), Western Michigan (74-61), Auburn (65-61) and Xavier (73-53) to finish with week with 18.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. At the Paradise Jam, Quaye led the team in scoring all three games registering 23 points and eight boards against Western Michigan, 21 points against Auburn, and 16 points and six rebounds against Xavier. Quaye converted a season high 10 of 12 free throw attempts against Western Michigan. For her play she was named tournament MVP.
The Golden Eagles will look for their fifth straight win when they head across town to play Wis.-Milwaukee on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m., at the Klotsche Center.
