James Named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week

MILWAUKEE - Marquette freshman Dominic James was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.
In his only game of the week - a 91-84 loss at Rutgers - James recorded 22 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. He shot 8-of-16 from the field and 2-of-5 from 3-point range. This is the fourth Rookie of the Week accolade this season for James. The freshman guard is averaging 15.4 points, 5.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds. James is the league's leading freshman scorer.
James and Marquette returns to action on Thursday, February 16, hosting nationally ranked Georgetown at 8 p.m. at the Bradley Center.
