James Named to Sporting News All-Freshman Team

MILWAUKEE - Marquette freshman Dominic James was named the national All-Freshman Team by The Sporting News.
James was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Year after leading all BIG EAST freshman in scoring (15.1 points per game) and assists (5.8 assists per game).
James joined Brandon Rush, Kansas; Tyrus Thomas, LSU; Shawne Williams, Memphis; Tyler Hansbrough, North Carolina.
The Golden Eagles will play in the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship on Thursday, March 16, playing Alabama at 1:40 p.m. CST in San Diego, Calif.
