Novak Named USBWA All-District

MILWAUKEE - Senior Steve Novak was named All-District V by the U.S. Basketball Writers of America. District V is comprised of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Novak led the BIG EAST in three point shooting and averaged 17.0 points per game this season.

The All-District teams are based on voting from its national membership. There are nine regions from coast to coast and a player and coach of the year are selected in each.

Marquette heads into the BIG EAST Tournament as the no. 4 seed and will play the winner of Georgetown/Notre Dame at 2 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, March 8 at Madison Square Garden.
