The Marquette University women's basketball team will make seven appearances on national and regional networks during the upcoming season as part of the BIG EAST Conference's expanded television coverage announced today.
The Golden Eagles will make four national television appearances - ESPNU and College Sports Television, and three times as part of the conference's regional BIG EAST Game of the Week package.
ESPNU will broadcast live the Golden Eagles game at Syracuse on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m.
CSTV will broadcast three games as part of its "Conference Game of the Week" package. Marquette's game at the Al McGuire Center against Rutgers on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. will be the second game as part of a Tuesday night doubleheader on the network. CSTV will also broadcast the Golden Eagles' Wednesday night meeting (Feb. 13) at Notre Dame at 6 p.m., and Marquette's regular-season finale against USF on Monday, March 3, at 8 p.m.
BETV is slated to televise the Golden Eagles' conference opener against Providence on Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Al McGuire Center at 1 p.m., along with two other contests at home. Marquette's date will DePaul on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m., will air on BETV as well as MU's game versus Seton Hall on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m.
BETV can be seen locally on Time Warner Sports Ch. 32.
First round BIG EAST Tournament action will be carried live on BETV, while the conference tournament quarterfinal and semifinal games will air on ESPNU. The BIG EAST Tournament Championship game will be televised on ESPN2.
