WAUKESHA - 16 members of the Marquette women's soccer team participated in the TOPSoccer Winter Festival on Saturday, February 24, at Catholic Memorial High School. TOPSoccer is an official U.S. Youth Soccer program enriching the lives of young athletes with disabilities through the game of soccer.
"Participating in the TOPSoccer event is always fun and equally rewarding," said junior goalkeeper Laura Boyer. "You can really see the kids enjoying the day. It's a great opportunity to give back to the game and the community. "
TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, ages 4-19, who has a mental or physical disability.
