Krystal Ellis Named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team

HARTFORD, Conn. - After averaging 17.5 points in quarterfinals and semifinals of the BIG EAST Conference Tournament, sophomore guard Krystal Ellis was named to the all-tournament team following the championship game Tuesday.
Ellis helped pace Marquette to its 61-51 quarterfinal win over Pittsburgh with 15 points and added a team high 20 points in the Golden Eagles' 63-55 loss to eventual tournament champion Rutgers.
Ellis was a First Team All-BIG EAST selection and was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll six times for the season.
Rutgers' Mattee Ajavon was named the tournament's most outstanding player, while fellow Scarlet Knights Kia Vaughn and Essence Carson were also selected to the all-tournament team. Kalana Greene and Renee Montgomery of Connecticut rounded out the six-person all-tournament team.
