Women's Basketball Announces TV Schedule

The reigning WNIT Champion Marquette University women's basketball team will make five appearances on national and regional networks during the 2008-09 season as part of the BIG EAST Conference's expanded television coverage announced Thursday.
The Golden Eagles will make four national television appearances on ESPNU and CBS College Sports (formerly CSTV), and once as part of the conference's regional BIG EAST Game of the Week package.
ESPNU will broadcast live the Golden Eagles' game at Rutgers on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m., and MU's game against West Virginia at the Al McGuire Center on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. Marquette's match-up with the Mountaineers is a part of ESPN's "February Frenzy Pink Zone," in which the Golden Eagle will host their "Pink Out" in conjunction with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Pink Zone initiative to support breast cancer awareness.
CBS College Sports will broadcast two games as part of its "Game of the Week" package. Marquette's game at the Al McGuire Center against Notre Dame on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m., will be the second game as part of a Tuesday night doubleheader on the network. CBS College Sports will also broadcast the Golden Eagles' regular-season finale against Louisville on Monday, March 2, at 8 p.m., at the Al McGuire Center.
BIG EAST TV is slated to televise the Golden Eagles' home game against St. John's on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. BIG EAST TV can be seen locally on Time Warner Sports Ch. 32.
Additionally, the Golden Eagles will appear on the Big Ten Network when they play at Northwestern (Dec. 2) and at Wisconsin (Dec. 13). The game against the Badgers will be streamed live on BigTenNetwork.com. The Big Ten Network can now be seen locally in Milwaukee on Time Warner Cable Ch. 63.
Second round BIG EAST Tournament action will be carried live on BIG EAST TV, while the conference tournament quarterfinal and semifinal games will air on ESPNU. The BIG EAST Tournament Championship game will be televised on ESPN. It is the only women's conference championship final on ESPN.
