Marquette (15-12, 7-7 BIG EAST), who currently sits in a tie for eighth place with DePaul, will look for a second straight win at Villanova after a 76-69 upset of then-No. 23/21 Pittsburgh on February 23. Villanova is coming off a setback at nationally ranked West Virginia, 77-66, on Feb. 23, but prior to that loss, Villanova had won three straight over St. John's (69-66), Providence (72-59) and Cincinnati (69-50).
The Wildcats have three players averaging double-figure scoring averages; junior Laura Kurz (15.0 ppg), senior Stacie Witman (14.5 ppg), and junior Lisa Karcic (12.1 ppg). Kurz leads the team in rebounds, grabbing 6.0 rpg.
