The Golden Eagles (12-9, 4-4 BIG EAST) are coming off a 10-point loss at St. John's on Feb. 2. For the second consecutive game, MU had four players in double figures and it was sophomore Janelle Harris who led the effort with career-best 17 points. Marquette has been dominant on the glass for the last two games and out-rebounded St. John's 43-36. Thirty of MU's points against the Redstorm came from offensive rebounds.
Marquette is still tops in the BIG EAST in thievery as the Golden Eagles boast the top steals average swiping 12.33 per game. Angel Robinson is three steals shy of breaking Krystal Ellis' freshman steals record. She averages the second best steals average in the BIG EAST with 2.86 per game.
The Bearcats (10-11, 1-8 BIG EAST) have struggled this season under first year head coach J. Kelley Hall. Cincinnati is 2-5 away from Fifth Third Arena and winless in conference play on the road.
The Bearcats, who are averaging 62.9 ppg, have two players in double figures with Kahla Roudebush averaging a team-best 15.8 ppg. Jill Stephens follows with 13.5 ppg and a team-high 9.5 rpg. In BIG EAST play the twosome are averaging 14.7 ppg and 10.1 ppg, respectively.
It will be the 27th all-time meeting between the Bearcats and the Golden Eagles in a series that began in 1992. Marquette holds the all-time advantage, 18-8, and has won the last two straight. Marquette is 9-4 all-time in Milwaukee against Cincinnati.
