Defending tournament champion Louisville is the highest ranked team heading into the event. The Cardinals are ranked No. 28 in the country, according to Golfstats' latest head-to-head ratings. No. 70 MU is the second-highest rated team in the field.
Ins & Outs: Mike Van Sickle's six-under 66 in last year's opening round tied a BIG EAST Championship record. He finished at five-under 211, two strokes behind medalist Daryl Fathauer of Louisville.
