MILWAUKEE--The first of three Marquette volleyball camps this summer will begin Monday, July 7 with the FUNdamental Golden Eagle Day Camp for campers in grades 3-8. That first camp will run from July 7-10 and last from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
"Last year was my first year as camp director and everything went very well," said camp director and assistant coach Raftyn Rignell. "This year we should have an even better turnout and it should be a lot of fun."
During the second camp session Marquette will host the Golden Eagle Team Camp, for which they will welcome varsity and junior varsity high school teams to the McGuire Center from July 18-20.
The SOAR Individual Training Camp is the final camp session and is set for July 20-23 while including campers in grades 9-12.
"We have some of the best college, high school and club coaches in the region coming to help out during camp," said Rignell. "There is always a great ratio of campers to coaches to help ensure individualized instruction."
All camp participants will receive a Marquette volleyball T-shirt and a ticket redeemable for admission to a 2008 Marquette volleyball match. All camps are open to both boys and girls.
Registration for the Team Camp and SOAR Camp is open until July 14. For any questions please call (414) 288-6094 or contact the camp director at raftyn.rignell@mu.edu.
