Marquette Madness Countdown Enters Final Day, Preparations Continue

[5:45 p.m.] Preparations are in full swing for Friday's Marquette Madness event at the Al McGuire Center, both inside and outside of the building.

MUTV arrived early Thursday evening to begin setup for its production, which will be featured live for free on GoMarquette.com.
The dunk contest participants have been selected: Dwight Buycks, Joseph Fulce, Youssoupha Mbao and Erik Williams. The men's team conducted open gym on their off day on the main court Thursday afternoon.
Members of the Milwaukee Bucks will serve as dunk contest judges. Jim Boylan, a member of MU's 1977 NCAA championship squad and current assistant coach, will be joined by players Joe Alexander, Charlie Bell, Brandon Jennings and Jodie Meeks.
Parking services has started to eliminate the spaces on 12th street needed to accommodate the large crowd.
The 4,000 fans expected will mark what is believed to be a record crowd for the volleyball team.
