Volleyball To Begin Spring Campaign On March 28

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette women's volleyball team has announced its schedule for spring competition. The Golden Eagles will play March 28 in Aurora, Ill., at a tournament hosted by the Sports Performance Club, which will include various teams from the Midwest, including fellow BIG EAST members and Big Ten opponents. MU will then play in a tournament at Loyola (Ill.) on April 4 and play at UW-Milwaukee on April 9.

"This spring season is a great opportunity for us to take stock in what we have, and examine where we need to improve," said head coach Bond Shymansky. "I am excited for the start of spring practice and the chance for us to build our new offensive and defensive systems. Our spring competitions will give us a chance to fine tune those systems and develop confidence for the fall season."

The Golden Eagles return to action following an off-season in which Shymansky, assistant coach Michaela Franklin and setter Nikki Klingsporn joined the program.
