MILWAUKEE -- Marquette volleyball assistant coach Burt Fuller has announced his intention to resign, effective immediately.
"I would like to provide my deepest apologies to Bond as well as the entire Marquette volleyball family, in regards to my decision," said Fuller. "I do not expect most people to understand my reasons, but I would like to emphasize the decisions I made were 100 percent personal in nature and they where in no way associated with the Marquette volleyball program."
Introduced as an assistant on head coach Bond Shymansky's staff, Fuller came to MU following three highly successful seasons as an assistant at Utah.
"I have the utmost respect for Bond as a person and coach and the University," Fuller said. "Marquette is a first class department that has shown a commitment to volleyball."
A nationwide search for Fuller's replacement will begin immediately.
