Marquette Begins WNIT Title Defense Monday against Butler

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's basketball team will begin its Women's National Invitation Tournament title defense Monday, March 23 against Butler at the Al McGuire Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Fans unable to attend the Golden Eagles' second round WNIT came against the Bulldogs will be able to watch the entire game on gomarquette.com courtesy of MUTV.

Robbie Shimp (play-by-play), Jonathan Ficke (analyst) and Brad Galli (sideline reporter) will call the action from the Al McGuire Center. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:45 p.m.

It can also be heard via the airwaves live on WJYI 1340 AM with Matt Salmon (play-by-play) and Tony Matera (analyst) calling the action.

The Bulldogs (20-11) overcame an 11-point deficit to win at Duquesne, 59-58, Thursday evening in the first round of the WNIT.
