Men's Basketball Adds Five More Graduates

Milwaukee - The Marquette University men's basketball program added five more graduates Sunday afternoon when Trend Blackledge, Dwight Burke, Dominic James, Wesley Matthews and Jerel McNeal officially received their diplomas at the commencement ceremonies.

With the addition of the latest class, each of the last 31 players to complete his eligibility at Marquette since 1999-2000 has earned a degree. Over the course of the last 18 years, 58-of-60 players have claimed a diploma.

Blackledge (communication studies), Burke (communication studies), James (public relations), Matthews (advertising) and McNeal (communication studies) each had his name called at an afternoon ceremony at MATC. Only McNeal, who continues to prepare for the NBA Draft, was unable to attend.
