Three Women's Basketball Players Receive Diplomas

MILWAUKEE - Sunday, May 17, 2009 was an important day for a group of Marquette women's basketball players as they completed their educational goals and received bachelor's degrees during commencement ceremonies held at the Bradley Center.

Krystal Ellis, Erin Monfre and Marissa Thrower who enjoyed outstanding athletic careers at Marquette each earned bachelor's degrees in communication studies.

The trio of seniors led Marquette to 87 wins, four postseason appearances, including a berth in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament and the 2008 Women's National Invitation Tournament Championship.
