Volleyball Appears At Opening Day of Summerfest

MILWAUKEE -- The Marquette women's volleyball squad entertained Summerfest's opening day crowd Thursday afternoon at the Sentry SportsZone.

Assistant coach Michaela Franklin led the event from 2-4 p.m. with help from Leslie Bielski, Rabbecka Gonyo, Nikki Klingsporn, freshman Carol Henney and volunteer assistant coach Rob Koehler

The team taught spectators and participants some fundamentals of the sport and led the crowd in various games and activities.

The men's and women's soccer squads will take part in a joint effort on July 3 from 5-6 p.m. at the SportsZone as well.

"The World's Largest Music Festival," Summerfest runs June 25 through July 5. Summerfest tickets can be purchased and printed instantly at www.summerfest.com.
