Volleyball Wraps Up FUNdamental Camp

MILWAUKEE- Marquette volleyball under new head coach Bond Shymansky wrapped up the final day of FUNdamental Camp Thursday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center.

"I was impressed by the overall ability of the youth volleyball players at our first camp," Shymansky said. "We had a ton of fun as coaches and we hope that the kids learned a lot as players. We are counting on the campers to be an integral part of our home crowd this fall."

Over 50 third through eighth graders participated in the four-day camp which focused on developing a solid fundamental volleyball base for all in attendance. The drills used were designed to use repetition to ingrain fundamentals and build the participants' understanding of the game.

The volleyball staff will now prepare for the team camp, which runs July 17-19 before the SOAR Individual Camp begins on July 20.
