Marquette to Play at Western Michigan Sunday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Marquette women's soccer team will play its final non-conference game of the 2009 season at Western Michigan Sunday, Sept. 20. Kickoff is set for 21 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT.
In their last time out, the Golden Eagles earned a dramatic 2-1 victory over USF at Valley Fields in both teams BIG EAST Conference lidlifter Thursday. Sophomore Kerry McBride knocked in the game winner in the 89th minute, while classmate Rachael Sloan, who is one of three players this season with a team-high two goals, tallied first for Marquette in the 21st minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Kulla, who has played every minute of every game in net, made four saves. For the season, Kulla has notched 24 saves and the fourth-best goals against average in the league, 0.49.
The Broncos (3-2-1) enter the game with Marquette riding a two-game win streak. Western Michigan topped Oakland (2-0) and most recently Wright State (2-1) in overtime Friday evening.
Ali Jacobs leads the team with four points on two goals, including the game winner at Wright State, while four other players have registered a goal this season.
In goal, Julia Francy has played all 561:36 in net and owns a 0.64 goals against average.
