Marquette returns to play after tallying four consecutive wins against Green Bay (3-0), then-No. 23 Minnesota (1-0), USF (2-1) and Western Michigan (2-0). Kulla has played every minute of every match in goal this season, surrendering just four goals in 818 minutes.

The team opened the season ranked 14th nationally in the NSCAA poll and climbed to as high as seventh before receiving votes in the latest polls. Slated to finish first in the BIG EAST American Division in the preseason poll, the Mountaineers are led by All-BIG?EAST?Preseason selection Megan Mischler with six points off two goals and two assists, while Bry McCarthy and Blake Miller trail close behind with four and three points, respectively.
