Ciara Jones Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE- Sophomore outside hitter Ciara Jones was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for women's volleyball, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Jones, a native of Orlando, Fla., led the Golden Eagles to a perfect 4-0 record over the weekend in the Marquette Invitational, collecting tournament MVP honors along the way.

In the first match of the invitational against Texas State, Jones registered a career-high 15 kills and bettered that mark with 16 against Austin Peay in the tournament's championship match.

Jones and the Golden Eagles return to action Friday at 11 a.m. against Western Michigan in the first match of the Panther Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. MU returns home to host Ohio State on Sunday at 1p.m. at the Al McGuire Center.
