Kulla Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Kulla was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday following her stellar effort in a 1-1 week for the Marquette women's soccer team.

Kulla earned her third shutout of the season Thursday, Sept. 3 in a 2-0 defeat at UW-Milwaukee, which ended the Panthers' 24-game home unbeaten streak, and allowed just one goal against No. 1 North Carolina. She totaled six saves while directing the defense and facing 40 shots over the two games. For her efforts, Kulla was named the Inn at Saint Mary's Classic Most Valuable Goalkeeper and to the all-tournament team.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 10 as they host Green Bay at 7 p.m., and open a three-game homestand at Valley Fields.
