Golden Eagles Host UW-Parkside in Lone Exhibition Contest

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's basketball team will host UW-Parkside in its lone exhibition game of the 2010-11 season on Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Al McGuire Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Live audio will be provided online courtesy of WMUR.
The game against the Rangers will be the Golden Eagles' final tune-up prior to their regular season opener against Arkansas-Bluff at the Al McGuire Center on Saturday, Nov. 13. Tip-off is set for 7p.m.
Season tickets are currently on sale and start at just $40. New this year is the addition of the season ticket `Family Plan'. The Family Plan includes two adult and two youth (17 and under) season tickets and can be purchased for as little as $100 for the entire season.
The Golden Eagles return three starters and seven letterwinners from a season ago that finished 17-16 overall and in 10th place BIG?EAST with a 6-10 league record.
Preseason All-BIG EAST selection junior Angel Robinson returns for her senior season with 72 straight starts in tow. She was the team's leading scorer in 2009-10 with 11.9 points per game. Sophomore Sarina Simmons, an All-BIG?EAST Freshman team honoree also returns.
UW-Parkside, a NCAA Division II program, went 23-8 overall, 13-5 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and advanced to the NCAA Midwest Regional during the 2009-10 season. The Rangers return 10 letterwinners including Brittany Beyer, the team's leading scorer, who averaged 15.0 points per game.
The two teams last met in exhibition play on Nov. 10, 2008 with the Golden Eagles earning a 67-46 victory at the Al McGuire Center.
