The 2010-11 Marquette University men's basketball schedule is now finalized, following the announcement of the league schedule by the BIG EAST Conference office Friday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles will get an early wake-up call for the conference lidlifter when the team hosts nationally ranked West Virginia for a mid-morning opening tip on New Year's Day. After a pair of road matchups at Rutgers and Pittsburgh, MU returns to the Bradley Center on Jan. 10 for a nationally televised contest with rival Notre Dame.
Back-to-back outings in late January feature league powers Connecticut (Jan. 25) and Syracuse (Jan. 29). The Orange enters the campaign as a consensus top-10 program. Marquette will close the regular season with four of the team's last five games coming in Milwaukee. St. John's (Feb. 15), Seton Hall (Feb. 19), Providence (Feb. 27) and Cincinnati (March 2) will arrive in town down the stretch, wrapped around road contests at Connecticut (Feb. 24) and Seton Hall (March 5).
Marquette's senior class (Jimmy Butler, Dwight Buycks, Robert Frozena and Joe Fulce) will play on Al McGuire Court for the final time when the squad suits up against the Bearcats.
Mini-plans are priced at $150 or $100 per package. Full-season ticket plans are also available and include additional benefits, such as the ability to purchase extra single-game and postseason tickets before the general public. In an effort to further pack the Bradley Center in 2010-11, current season ticket holders can earn a $100 account credit by referring a friend to be a new season ticket holder. Single game tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders on Saturday, October 9 and to the general public on Saturday, October 23. The Wisconsin game is only available to season ticket holders or via a five-game plan.
