Women's Basketball Unveils 2010-11 Schedule

The Marquette University women's basketball team has announced its 2010-2011 schedule. On the docket this season for the Golden Eagles are 12 teams that earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
The Golden Eagles open the 2010-11 campaign with four-straight home contests starting with Arkanas-Pine Bluff on Nov 13. Marquette will also host Alcorn State (Nov. 15), Michigan (Nov. 19) and Monmouth (Nov. 21) during that tilt.
Marquette's first road trip of the season will be to Wisconsin for a 6 p.m. tip-off on Nov. 24, before heading to Omaha, Neb., to play Creighton (Nov. 28).
A date with Iona College on Wednesday, Dec. 1 will precede a trip to the East Coast where Marquette will play at Vermont and open its sixth season of BIG EAST play at seven-time NCAA Champion Connecticut on Dec. 9.
Marquette returns home to host three home games against Green Bay (Dec. 12), UNC-Asheville (Dec. 18) and Illinois (Dec. 21) before closing out the non-conference portion of their schedule in Miami, Fla., at the FIU Sun and Fun Classic. Marquette will meet host Florida International in the first game of the tournament on Dec. 29, and will play either Georgia or La. Tech on Dec. 30.
Fans will be treated to incredible BIG EAST Conference home matchups, as MU will host five NCAA Tournament participants from a season ago. Following the conference lidlifter against the Huskies, league play doesn't get any easier as MU will face three straight potential top 10 teams early in January. Notre Dame (Jan. 5) and West Virginia (Jan. 11) will make the trip to Milwaukee, while MU will play at Georgetown on Saturday, Jan. 8.
The Golden Eagles will play two more road games during the month of January at USF (Jan. 16) and Pittsburgh (Jan. 29) and will host Syracuse (Jan. 22) and Louisville (Jan. 26) at the Al McGuire Center.
Marquette will spend a majority of February on the road after Villanova (Feb. 1) and St. John's (Feb. 5) make trips to Milwaukee, as the Golden Eagles will play four of its final six conference games away from the Al McGuire Center traveling to DePaul (Feb. 12), Seton Hall (Feb. 16), Providence (Feb. 22) and Cincinnati (Feb. 28).
The senior class of Angel Robinson, Jocelyn Mellen, Courtney Weibel, Paige Fiedorowicz, Jasmine Collins and Tatiyiana McMorris will play their final game on the Al McGuire Court Feb. 26 against DePaul.
The BIG EAST Championship, which will include all 16 teams again in 2011, is set for March 4-8 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
Remaining game times and televised games will be announced at a later date.
Season tickets are currently on sale and start at just $40. New this year is the addition of the season ticket `Family Plan'. The Family Plan includes two adult and two youth (17and under) season tickets and can be purchased for as little as $100 for the entire season.
Also offered this year is the "Pick Your Plan" 3-game flex plan. Fans will be able to customize their own 3 game ticket package from a list of this year's hottest games. 3-Game plans will go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 22.
