McMorris Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

MILWAUKEE - Senior guard Tatiyiana McMorris was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the first time in her career, the league announced Monday. McMorris registered back-to-back 20-point performances in wins over Louisville on Jan. 24 and Pittsburgh on Jan. 29.
McMorris recorded a career-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers, in the team's first win over Louisville since 2007. She then bested her career high with 22 points in an overtime victory at Pittsburgh, in which she hit a trey as time expired to send the game into overtime.
The Bronx, N.Y., native was a perfect 12-for-12 at the foul line in the two games, including two free throws with 18 seconds remaining in overtime against the Panthers.
McMorris has started all 21 games this season for Marquette, and averages 12.0 points in 31.8 minutes per game. She leads the team in free throw percentage (86.0%) and three-point field goal percentage (39.8%) and in conference play, tops the squad in points per game (15.9) and free throw percentage (96.7%).
