? Marquette is now 23-8 and will await the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, March 14 as it looks for its ninth invitation in program history and first since 2007.
? MU is now 3-6 in its Big East Tournament history and 0-8 all-time vs. Rutgers.
? MU started 2-14 from the floor and trailed 22-10 at the 9:40 mark before going on a 16-2 run to close the half.
? Jasmine Collins had 10 points and seven rebounds in the first half, the sixth time in her last seven games she scored in double figures. She finished with 17 points to tie her career high and added a team-high nine rebounds.
? Courtney Weibel's 3-pointer tied the game at 24 and Angel Robinson hit two free throws to give MU its first lead at 26-24 two minutes before intermission.
? Tatiyiana McMorris was 3-13 from 3-point range, the most such attempts of her career.
? MU forced Rutgers to miss 11 of its last 12 shots of the first half.
? Two more Robinson FTs game MU its last lead at 28-26 before Rutgers went on a 9-0 run and never led by less than six the rest of the way.
? Seven Golden Eagles saw action, but each scored and played at least 15 minutes.
? Collins and Weibel combined to score 20 points off the bench, a day after contributing 19 in the win over Pittsburgh.
? Katherine Plouffe tied her career high with two blocked shots.
?Sarina Simmons made a 3-pointer with 1:20 to play, the second trey of her career.
? Robinson crashed hard to the floor when she was fouled on a breakaway layup after a steal with 3:57 to play, but remained in the game after the media timeout. She led the team with 18 points and five assists and was 8-8 from the foul line, the first time in her career she didn't miss a free throw and had more than seven attempts.
