Former Marquette University men's basketball standout Jimmy Butler became the 54th player in school history to be selected in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft when he was picked 30th by the Chicago Bulls.
Butler is the third player at Marquette coached by Williams to play in the NBA. Butler joins recent graduates Lazar Hayward (Minnesota) and Wesley Matthews (Portland). Marquette's NBA family also includes Dwyane Wade (Miami) and Steve Novak (San Antonio).
