BANDON, Ore. -- Play opened this morning at the Bandon Dunes Championship, hosted by Gonzaga University. The Marquette University men's golf team currently sits tied for 10th out of 15 schools led by sophomore Michael Motz.
Motz is tied for 12th on the leaderboard after posting a 1-over-par 72 in the first round Friday at the Trails Course. He was 1-under on his back nine following back-to-back bogeys on holes 17 and 18. Teammate Ryan Prickette is tied for 30th overall after the MU senior opened with a 74.
Marquette (298) is tied with Pacific and Utah Valley University. Play continues with the second round on Saturday before the three-day tournament wraps up Sunday.
