Volleyball Begins Spring Season at the Al

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s volleyball team begins its 2012 spring season Saturday morning at the Al McGuire Center with a tournament featuring Green Bay, Loyola (Ill.) and Wisconsin.
The entire day’s events are open to the public and free to attend.
The first matches of the day begin at 10 a.m. with Marquette facing Loyola and Wisconsin taking on Green Bay in a best-of-three series. The squads will switch at 11:30 a.m. with the Golden Eagles playing Green Bay and Wisconsin against Loyola.
The day will conclude with Marquette taking on Wisconsin at 2 p.m. with three games to 25 and one game to 15.
The Golden Eagles are coming of a record-setting 2011 season in which they made their first appearance in the NCAA Championship and defeated No. 24 Western Kentucky in the first round.
