Volleyball to Hold Open Scrimmage Friday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's volleyball team will host an open practice and scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 17 at the Al McGuire Center, a week before opening the season against Bowling Green.

Al McGuire Center doors open at 5:45 p.m., with practice beginning at 6 p.m., followed by an intra-squad scrimmage at 7 p.m.

The team will be available to meet with fans and sign autographs at roughly 8 p.m. on the Al McGuire Center concourse.

The Golden Eagles welcome back four starters, including 2011 AVCA All-American Danielle Carlson, and 11 letter winners from a squad that claimed Marquette's first NCAA Championship appearance and recorded a program-record 24 victories.
