Ally Miller Named BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Marquette senior Ally Miller has earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honors the conference office announced on Monday.
Miller scored one goal on Friday at Northwestern, which proved to be the game winner as the Golden Eagles shutout Northwestern, 2-0. She also anchored MU's defense that allowed just five shots and no goals.
On Monday, Marquette hosted CMU in a 0-0 double overtime draw. Miller took one shot on goal.
This is the second time Miller has been named the conference's defensive player of the week. She also earned the honors in week one.
The Golden Eagles travel to Durham, N.C. to compete in the Duke/Nike Challenge. On Friday, Sept. 7 MU will face North Carolina at 4:00 p.m. CT and take on host school Duke on Sunday. Sept. 9 at 12:30 p.m. CT.
