MILWAUKEE - Marquette University women's volleyball fans will receive their first glimpse of the 2013 edition of the Golden Eagles on Saturday, Aug. 24 in an open scrimmage at the Al McGuire Center, beginning at 5 p.m.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the event is free for all to attend. Following a roughly hour-long scrimmage, the Golden Eagles will meet with fans and sign autographs on their 2013 schedule poster.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a 2012 campaign in which they set a program record for overall (27) and BIG EAST Conference (13) victories while making their second-consecutive trip to the NCAA Championship.
Marquette kicks off the fall season less than one week later on Friday, Aug. 30 at Bowling Green in the Hampton Inn Invitational, where the Golden Eagles will also face No. 13 BYU on Saturday afternoon.
Season tickets are available today for $40, while new special courtside seating is available for 2013 and includes special access to pre-match chalk talks by head coach Bond Shymansky, in addition to cushioned seats adjacent to the SportCourt.
