Blue & Gold Fund Auction Set For Dec. 5

In an effort to continue to improve the Blue & Gold Fund Auction, Marquette Athletics is pleased to announce the event's move in 2014 to Friday, Dec. 5 in the Alumni Memorial Union, the night before the men's basketball home game against Wisconsin.

The date change was made for a number of reasons, detailed below.
- A combination of compiled survey results and consultation with past participants indicated a number of benefits to pushing the auction back from its traditional September date.
- Student-athletes who compete in fall sports have been unable to attend in the past and the Dec. 5 date minimizes conflicts with MU's 16 athletic programs.
- Hosting the event the night before the Badger game maximizes the opportunity to involve dedicated Marquette fans in town for the game, as well as our generous local alums.
- The Dec. 5 date provides the perfect opportunity for end-of-year donations, as well as the opportunity to purchase holiday gifts.
