MU Concludes Homestand On Sunday Hosting Butler

The Marquette women's basketball team (4-11, 0-4) is back in action on Sunday, Jan. 11 when the Golden Eagles welcome Butler (7-9, 3-2) to the Al McGuire Center.
Friday's game will air live at www.gomarquette.com. Live stats via GameTracker will also be available.
MU is still looking for its first BIG?EAST victory after falling 101-67 to DePaul on Friday night.
Senior Apiew Ojulu was the leading scorer for MU with 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting, all tallied in the first half. Ojulu also grabbed a team-high eight boards and posted two blocks.
Kenisha Bell tallied her 13th double digit game on Friday with 12 points and continues to lead all rookies in the BIG?EAST with 15.1 points per game. Fellow freshmen Hannah Grim and Shantelle Valentine were strong contributors as Grim handed out a career-high seven assists and Valentine pulled down seven rebounds.
Butler enters Sunday's game with a 7-9 overall record and 3-2 league mark. The Bulldogs earned a huge 55-50 victory over conference-leader St. John's on Friday evening.
Butler is led by Loryn Goodwin with 16.0 points per game after registering 11 on Friday night. Ijeoma Uchendu leads the Bulldogs on the glass with 9.6 boards and ranks second among BIG?EAST players.
Sunday will be the 11th meeting between Marquette and Butler with the Bulldogs owning a narrow 6-4 advantage. Last season each team won a game on its opponents court.
Marquette will travel to Seton Hall (Jan. 16) and St. John's (Jan. 18) next weekend.
