Marquette Set for Butler on Sunday

The Marquette women's basketball squad (5-18, 1-11) will conclude a two-game road swing at Butler on Sunday, Feb. 8 at Noon CT at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network via the Fox Sports GO app.
Marquette dropped its first game of the road trip in a 91-72 decision at Xavier on Friday night. Freshman Kenisha Bell led three Golden Eagles in double figures with 19 points, while Arlesia Morse and freshman Tia Elbert added 12 and 10 points, respectively. Morse has connected on 37 consecutive free throws dating back to Jan. 23 against Providence.
Butler fell to DePaul on Friday afternoon, 83-65, which was its first home conference loss of the season. Ijeoma Uchendu led the Bulldogs with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Loryn Goodwin scored 18 points off the bench.
Sunday will feature four of the BIG EAST's top-11 scorers with Goodwin ranking seventh at 16.3 points per game, while Morse and Bell are locked at ninth with 14.6 points each. Uchendu is 11th in the league with 14.2 points per night.
In the two team's first meeting this year, Butler edged Marquette 76-67 in Milwaukee. Overall, the Bulldogs own a 7-4 advantage in the all-time series, including two-in-a-row.
Marquette will return home for its final two games of the season next weekend. The Golden Eagles host St. John's on Friday, Feb. 13 for their Play4Kay pink game on Fox Sports 1 before concluding the home season hosting No. 24 Seton Hall on Sunday, Feb. 15.
