MILWAUKEE - Preseason training is officially underway for the 2015 season as the Marquette University women's soccer team held its first workouts of the year on Wednesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles began the morning with a run to the North Point Water Tower at the eastern end of North Avenue where they did a hill workout with strength coach Todd Smith followed by some soccer drills along Lincoln Memorial Drive.
They concluded the day as the first MU squad to practice on the new FieldTurf Revolution field recently installed at Valley Fields.
The Golden Eagles will remain on campus to train until Sunday when the team heads to Camp Whitcomb.
