Marquette Set for Providence on Sunday

PROVIDENCEThe Marquette women's basketball team is set for its final road game of the regular season as the squad travels to Providence on Sunday, Feb. 21 for tip-off at Noon Central time at Alumni Hall.
The BIG EAST Digital Network will carry the game live via FOX Sports GO with Chris Fama and Peter Gay calling the action.
The Golden Eagles dropped a narrow 83-81 decision at Creighton on Friday evening and enter Sunday's game with a 13-14 record and 8-8 mark in BIG EAST play. Erika Davenport led four Golden Eagles in double figures with a career-high-tying 19 points and eight boards, while Amani Wilborn tallied 16 points, Danielle King notched 15 points and Allazia Blockton contributed 12 points.
Blockton nearly tallied a triple-double as she also pulled down 11 boards and dished out eight assists.
Providence fell to DePaul on Friday evening, 91-68 and head into the game with a 5-20 overall record and a 1-14 mark in league action with their lone BIG EAST victory coming in a 61-59 victory over Creighton.
In the first meeting with the Friars this season, Marquette won easily in a 107-75 decision with five Golden Eagles notching double digits. The 105 points scored remains the highest total in league play by a team this season.
Following this game, Marquette returns home for a final regular season game, hosting travel-partner DePaul on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. CT as part of National Marquette Day festivities.
