Houg Selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK Marquette University volleyball's senior libero Lauren Houg was selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after week one action, the league office announced on Monday.

Houg helped MU to a 2-1 record at the USC Baden Invitational where the Golden Eagles defeated then-No. 7 USC and UC-Irvine. The Plymouth, Minnesota native averaged 4.54 digs per set, including 13 against the Trojans and 25 in the five-set victory over UCI. She also earned all-tournament honors.

The Golden Eagles will travel to Wichita, Kansas this weekend to face the host Shockers, along with IUPUI and Cincinnati in a two-day tournament. The first match is slated for Friday, Sept. 2 at 4:30 p.m. Central time.
