MU well represented in the professional ranks
With the NBA season set to tip-off next week, here is a look at the former Marquette men's basketball players currently representing the Golden Eagles in the professional ranks.
Dwyane Wade
Three-time NBA Champion Dwyane Wade is entering his 16th and final season in the NBA, which he dubbed #OneLastDance in a video shared to Twitter. The Oaklawn, Illinois, native was drafted fifth overall in the 2003 NBA Draft by Miami, spending all but two seasons (2016-17, Chicago Bulls; 2017-18, Chicago Bulls/Cleveland Cavaliers) during his professional career with the Heat. Wade was traded to the Miami Heat in February 2018, where he averaged 12.9 points per game and 3.2 assists per contest.

Travis Diener
Travis Diener returns to Vanoli Basket Cremona (Italy-Serie A) for the 2018-19 season, after averaging 5.4 points per contest for the squad last year. The Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, native has spent all of his overseas professional career in Italy's Serie A, beginning in 2010-11 with Dinamo Ford Sassari. Diener also spent a portion of 2018 playing in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) for a squad comprised of former Marquette players.

Ousmane Barro
Ousmane Barro enters his 11th professional season, joining Rilski Sportist Samokov (Bulgaria-NBL) after playing in Romania each of the last four years. Barro averaged 9.7 points per contest and grabbed 5.7 rebounds per game in 2017-18 with U-Banco Transilvania Cluj Napoca (Romania-Liga Nationala). He also helped his squad win the Romanian Cup last season.

Maurice Acker
Maurice Acker begins his second season with Lille Metropole Basket (France-ProB) and ninth overall professional season in 2018-19. The point guard averaged 12.6 points per game while dishing out 3.9 assists each contest, helping Metropole Basket to the French ProB Playoff Semifinals. Acker also participated in The Basketball Tournament (TBT).

Dwight Burke
Dwight Burke enters his 10th season in the professional ranks and his third in the France-NM1 league. He joins Eveil de Recy Saint-Martin after averaging 11.3 points per game and collecting 5.7 rebounds a night.

Wes Matthews
Wes Matthews boasts a decade in the NBA and is in his fourth year with the Dallas Mavericks in 2018-19. Last season, he packed the stat line with 12.7 points per contest, 3.1 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game and 1.2 steals per game.

Junior Cadougan
In his sixth professional season, Junior Cadougan joins St. John's Edge in his home country of Canada. Cadougan has spent all but two years of his post-Marquette career playing in the Canadian National Basketball League and in 2017, helped his team to an NBL Canada Championship.

Jimmy Butler enters his eighth year in the NBA in 2018-19. Last year with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Butler led the squad with 21.7 points per game, and added 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Butler was picked to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2018.

Trent Lockett
After averaging 8.8 points per contest and nabbing 4.2 rebounds per game last season, Trent Lockett returns to Unics Kazan (Russia-VTB) for the 2018-19 campaign. It's his sixth year in the professional ranks after leaving Marquette in 2013.

Darius Johnson-Odom
After playing alongside Travis Diener for Vanoli Basket Cremona (Italy-Serie A) in 2017-18, Darius Johnson-Odom is in training camp this fall with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Johnson-Odom averaged 18.8 points per game shot 58.7 percent from the floor last year in Italy.

Jamil Wilson
In his fifth professional season, Jamil Wilson joins Fiat Torino (Italy-Serie A) for 2018-19. He was a key contributor for Fiat Torino two seasons ago and in 2017-18, spent time in the German-BBL, signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, played in the NBA G-League and came back to Italy-Seria A with Virtus Segafredo Bologna. Wilson also participated in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) with the Golden Eagles squad.

Jae Crowder
Jae Crowder enters his seventh NBA season in 2018-19 with the Utah Jazz. Crowder spent the second half of the 2017-18 season in Utah, averaging 11.3 points per game and 4.2 rebounds en route to the NBA Western Conference Semifinals.

Davante Gardner
After averaging a blistering 28.7 points per game alongside 9.9 rebounds a night, Davante Gardner returns to Niigata Albirex (Japan-B League) for the third straight season. He was the Japanese B League Player of the Week 10 times last season and 2018-19 marks his fifth professional season.

Matt Carlino
Matt Carlino joins Chorale de Roanne Basket (France-ProB) for 2018-19. The guard averaged 18.6 points per game and 3.3 assists per game last season with Roseto Sharks (Italy-Serie A2). This season will mark his fourth professional campaign.

Juan Anderson (Toscano)
Juan Anderson (Toscano) extends his time with Fuerza Regia Monterrey, as 2018-19 marks his third season on the squad. It's his fourth year in the professional ranks and last season, made the LatinBasket.com All-Mexican LNBP All-Domestic Players Team.

Katin Reinhardt
Spent his first professional season last year in Lithuania, Bosnia and Germany. Reinhardt helped BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Bosnia-Division I) to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup Championship while averaging 17 points per game. He enters 2018-19 with Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany-BBL).

After spending time with the Toronto Raptors in NBA Summer League, Andrew Rowsey begins his professional career with Szolnoki Olajbanyasz KK (Hungary-A Division).

Luke Fischer returns to Herbalife Gran Canaria (Spain-Liga Endesa) for his second professional season. Last year, Fischer helped the team to the Eurocup Quarterfinals and the Spanish Liga Endesa Semifinals, averaging 4.7 rebounds per game.

Henry Ellenson
Henry Ellenson begins his third season in the NBA with the team that drafted him in 2016, the Detroit Pistons. Ellenson averaged nearly 30 points per game for the squad's G-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive, while also posting 9.5 rebounds per contest. The 21-year-old also competed with the USA National Team in the 2018 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
Doc Rivers
Doc Rivers completed his fifth season as coach of the Los Angeles Clippers in 2017-18, and in May 2018, signed a contract extension to stay in L.A. Rivers is 846-624 in his 14-year career as a head coach, which includes stops with the Orlando Magic and the Boston Celtics.
