Full Schedule
MILWAUKEE — The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams have announced the indoor and outdoor schedules for the 2018-19 season.
The Golden Eagles were set to begin the new campaign at the Blue and Gold Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Dec. 7, but due to the meet being moved up a week to Nov. 30, the team will now start the year at the John Tierney Invitational hosted by UW-Milwaukee at the Klotsche Center on Jan. 19.
That kicks off a series of six-straight weekends with a meet leading up to the BIG EAST and NCAA indoor championship meets. The squad heads to the Black and Gold Invitational (Iowa) for the first time, Jan. 25-26, Marquette will compete at the UW-Parkside Classic and Meyo Invitational (Notre Dame), followed by the GVSU BIG Meet and regular season finale at the Wisconsin Shell Shocker.
The outdoor season features a pair of home meets for the first time since 2012, featuring the Marquette Duals (April 5) and Marquette Midweek Challenge (April 24) at the Shimek Track. However, first, the team will seek warmer conditions as outdoor competition kicks off at the Central Florida on March 15-16. In April, the Golden Eagles will make their annual trip to California to compete in a trio of meets as well as South Florida and the historic Drake Relays.
The regular season concludes in Madison, where Marquette will compete at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic on May 3, before heading to Icahn Stadium in New York City to compete at the BIG EAST outdoor championships May 10-11.
The NCAA West Prelims are once again hosted by Sacramento State (May 23-25) followed by the NCAA Championships (June 5-8) in Austin, Texas.
