MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's soccer team winds down its spring season with a match at in-state rival Wisconsin on Friday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. Central time at the Near West Turf Rec Field in Madison.
Any fans wishing to attend should make plans to bring their own seating as there are no bleachers at the field.
Marquette and Wisconsin last went head-to-head in a 2017 fall exhibition game in Madison. The Golden Eagles opened the scoring in the second minute of the match, but UW finished the game with four unanswered goals.
The last time the two teams met for an official match was during the NCAA Championship during the 2016 season. Wisconsin scored 29 minutes into the first half, which would end up being the match winner to push the Badgers to the second round of the tournament. Of the eleven starters that played in that match, only four are still on the Golden Eagles roster: Maddy Henry, Emily Hess, Ryley Bugay and Carrie Madden.
