Head coach Meredith Black welcomes a class of 12 incoming freshmen to the squad
2019 Roster
MILWAUKEE – Head coach Meredith Black and her staff welcome the addition of 12 Marquette women's lacrosse newcomers for the 2018-19 academic year.
Â
All newcomers will have the full four years of eligibility remaining with the Golden Eagles and are set to begin practicing this week as the team starts the fall portion of its season.
Â
"We are so excited about this freshman class," Black said. "They are full of talent and athleticism, and are capable of making an immediate and positive impact on the program. We believe this group will be integral in helping us achieve our goals and taking this program to the next level.
Â
"It's so great to have players from all over the country representing this class. We thrive off of the diversity we are able to bring in and this class has a lot of that."
Â
This class is made up of six midfielders, three attackers, two defenders and one goalie. Eight states are represented, including three from New York, two each from Illinois and California, and one each from Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey and Marquette's second-ever signee from the state of Wisconsin, where the sport of lacrosse continues its rapid growth.
Â
The Golden Eagles enter their eighth year as a program and seventh season of competition in 2018-19.
