Soccer Reveals 2018 Promotional Schedule

MILWAUKEE – Marquette University is excited to announce its promotional schedule for the 2018 men's and women's soccer seasons at Valley Fields.

Both teams have a variety of giveaways for fans, ranging from food items to Marquette gear. It all kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 11, when both teams usher in the new season with the annual "FanFest" event coupled with exhibition contests as the men take on Loyola Chicago (5:30 p.m.) and the women face Mississippi State (8 p.m.). A free Qdoba taco bar will be offered in between games as well as a kids' skills zone, player autographs and photo opportunities with the Eagle.

Season-long promotions for both teams include t-shirt tosses after goals scored and a Marquette scarf, which is offered to all season ticket holders and student rewards members who attend 8 total games (must check-in on the rewards app each time).

The men's schedule features a whopping 11 home games in 2018, including marquee non-conference match-ups against in-state rivals Wisconsin and Milwaukee plus five BIG EAST Conference foes. The promotional highlights include: Hispanic Heritage Night (vs. Villanova - Sept. 15), a halftime performance (vs. Milwaukee - Sept. 19) and "Kick or Treat" Halloween promotion (vs. DePaul – Oct. 31).

The women also host double-digit games at Valley Fields in 2018 with Wisconsin and Milwaukee kicking off the regular season, followed by Colorado, BYU and five BIG EAST matches. The promotional calendar also features a host of exciting events, including Youth Soccer Night (vs. BYU - Sept. 14), a petting zoo (vs. St. John's - Sept. 30), "Socctoberfest" (vs. DePaul - Oct. 4), and a halftime performance for the regular season finale (vs. Seton Hall - Oct. 25).

Men's soccer opens the regular season at Valley Fields on Sunday, Aug. 26 against Valparaiso at 4:05 p.m. Central time, while the women's team plays its first home match on Monday, Aug. 20 vs. Wisconsin at 7:30 p.m. CT.
