Marquette’s BIG EAST Schedule is Revealed

The Golden Eagles have four nationally televised contests
NEW YORK—The BIG EAST Conference has revealed the 2018-19 women's basketball schedule and the reigning BIG EAST Co-Regular season champion Marquette women's basketball team will open the league slate at home for the second-straight season, hosting Providence on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. Central time.
The Golden Eagles will play on national television on four occasions beginning in the non-conference slate on Saturday, Dec. 22 when national champion Notre Dame plays at the Al McGuire Center for the first time since conference realignment. Tip-off is slated for 12:30 p.m. CT on FS1. In a rematch of last season's BIG EAST Tournament final, Marquette hosts DePaul on Friday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. CT on FS1 and also hosts Georgetown on FS1 Friday, Feb. 8. The fourth televised game will air on CBS Sports Network when the Golden Eagles travel to Seton Hall on Sunday, Feb. 17.
For the sixth-consecutive year, FS1 and FS2 will provide coverage of the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament, with this season's event returning to Wintrust Arena in Chicago for a second-consecutive year. FS2 will air the quarterfinal round on March 10. FS1 picks up the remaining rounds with the semifinals on March 11 slated for 3 and 5:30 p.m. CT, and the championship game set to tip off at 7 p.m. on March 12. The BIG EAST Digital Network will live stream both first round games on March 9, with tip times not yet determined.
The BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) will air all women's basketball games during conference play that are not scheduled for a television broadcast, for a total of 74 tilts throughout the entire 10-team lineup.
Marquette opens the schedule with three home games with Providence (Dec. 29), Creighton at the Al McGuire Center on New Year's Eve at 2 p.m. CT and the nationally-televised contest against DePaul (Jan. 4) before heading out east to Villanova and Georgetown on Jan. 11 and 13, respectively, resuming the usual Friday-Sunday lineup for BIG EAST games.
Marquette will welcome Seton Hall for its annual MPS Day at 11:30 a.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 18, and St. John's on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. before hitting the road for three contests at Xavier (Jan. 25), Butler (Jan. 27) and DePaul on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. CT.
The Golden Eagles return to Milwaukee for their third matchup on FS1 against the Hoyas on Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. CT, followed by Villanova on Sunday, Feb. 10. They travel to St. John's and Seton Hall on Friday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 17, respectively, with the contest against the Pirates airing live on CBS Sports Network.
Marquette's final regular season home games are set for Friday, Feb. 22 against Butler at 7 p.m. CT and Sunday, Feb. 24 hosting Xavier at 2 p.m. CT, which will mark senior day. The Golden Eagles will honor their six-member senior class in a ceremony at this time.
MU finishes the BIG EAST slate at Creighton on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. CT in Omaha and will play at Providence on Sunday, March 3 at noon CT.
Season tickets are currently on sale starting at $50 for general admission (upper level & lower bench), with lower-reserved chair back seats available for $100.
