Martha Konovodoff Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

The sophomore libero earned her second straight weekly award
NEW YORK-- Marquette University sophomore libero Martha Konovodoff was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll for her performance in the fourth week of the season, the league office announced on Tuesday.Â
Konovodoff averaged 5.89 digs per set last week, including 24 in a 3-0 sweep over Tulsa, which was the fifth time this season that she reached 20- or more digs in a match. Against No. 6 Wisconsin the Sugar Grove, Illinois native collected 17 digs.Â
This is the third weekly award for Konovodoff this season and second consecutive, after being named to the honor roll last week.
No. 21 Marquette begins BIG EAST play with a 9-3 overall record and will travel to Providence on Friday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. CT before heading to Omaha to face No. 10 Creighton on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. CT.
